Mountain House High School's DECA chapter is recruiting at least 28 in-person judges for the Northern California DECA competition, where up to 200 of its students are expected to compete.

In-person judging runs Saturday, January 16, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Santa Clara Marriott, 2700 Mission College Blvd. in Santa Clara. Continental breakfast, lunch and beverages are provided for judges, and orientation will be held before the competition starts. The chapter's students compete across the weekend of January 15–17.

The venue is a change from previous years, when the regional competition was held in San Ramon. Dr. Kerry Moquett, who announced the recruitment, said judges do not need a business background, though some professional experience is recommended.

Those interested in judging in person can register through the California DECA judge link and should select the Northern California Conference (NorCal) in Santa Clara. Questions can go to Dr. Moquett at the email listed in the chapter's announcement.
