Mountain House Mustangs fall to River Islands 40-2 at home

The Mountain House Mustangs lost their home game to the River Islands Riptide 40-2.
The Mustang offense was kept off the scoreboard, with the defense picking up the team's only points on a safety. The loss puts Mountain House at 1-3 for the season.
The game was one of several reported from around the area. Kimball High fell 24-18 to the Lincoln Mustangs of San Francisco at Don Nicholson Stadium, dropping the Jaguars to 0-4. Tracy High stayed undefeated with a 49-17 win over Ripon at Wayne Schneider Stadium for interim head coach Johnny Oh, and West High lost 34-12 to Bear Creek at Steve Lopez Stadium to sit at 2-2.
