Mountain House Opens Nine-Court Tennis Complex at Central Community Park

Nine new tennis courts opened Friday on the east side of Providence Street, just east of Mountain House City Hall, as the latest phase of Central Community Park.

The City of Mountain House and Mountain House Developers hosted the unveiling. The lighted courts include player amenities, shade structures, spectator seating and restrooms, and will host recreational play, leagues, clinics and tournaments. Residents can reserve one 1-hour block per day, seven days in advance, at courtreserve.com; non-residents can book one 1-hour block three days in advance. Drop-in play is also available.

The courts are part of Phase 2 of Central Community Park, which will also include a dog park and a new amphitheater scheduled to open soon. The previous tennis courts will be converted into pickleball courts. Construction will begin soon on an 11-court pickleball complex, and work continues on new playgrounds, gathering areas and recreational features. Future plans include an aquatic center, baseball and soccer fields.

"Today is a special day for Mountain House and the Mountain House tennis community," said Mayor Andy Su, who marked the occasion with the ceremonial first serve. City Manager Steve Pinkerton said the courts "will expand access to tennis for residents of all ages and abilities."
